How do I Price?  General guideline is 1/4 to 1/3 of the original sales price.  Items in excellent condition and name brands can sell for more than items of lesser quality.  Remember, items must be in good condition to be in the sale.  Shoes need to be in top quality and generally are priced less than clothing (about 20%-35%).  Popular, quality toys such as Little Tikes, Step Two, Perego, Brio, etc. can be priced more.  Hard to find items such as double strollers can also be priced more.  If in doubt, ask us at check-in or e-mail us.  We can tell you what similar items have sold for.  When pricing, ask yourself, "Would I buy this for $xx.xx?"  If you know the currently retail price for your item, write this on the tag in the description area.  If the item is no longer available, try writing 'paid $xx.xx for new' on the tag.  You can usually find retail prices at...

Amazon.com - www.amazon.com
Fisher Price - www.fisherprice.com
Little Tykes - www.littletykes.com
Toys R Us - www.toysrus.com
Wal-Mart - www.walmart.com

Can I use my Computer to make tags?  Yes, all new and returning consigners may print sales tags after registering for the sale.  Please read the Seller Info page for registration information.

Do clothes sell well?  YES!  This is the place to sell your kids clothes!  Many of our sellers sell an average of 85-90% of what they bring to us!  Larger size kids clothing sells very well!  If you are selling smaller sizes, try selling them as an outfit.  Can't figure out what to do with all those socks?  Pin them on the outfit (or put several in a ziplock bag).  Remember those hair bows and hats too!  Accessorize!

Do toys sell?  YES!  Incredibly fast too!  We get tons and tons and tons (can you tell we really get alot?) of toys!  At our last sale, we had a lot of tables filled with books, toys, videos, linens, and other misc. kids items!  It was incredible!  Please make sure that you clean the outdoor toys too.

Can I shop at the preview?  Yes!  Only if you are a seller and/or volunteer.  We don't torment you by only letting you look, you get to shop too!  One seller showed us how creative she was and used a new trash can with wheels and a handle as a shopping cart!  She filled it up too!  Other inventive shoppers use laundry baskets with ropes tied to them as handles.  Since they get too much stuff in them to pick up, the ropes seem to help.  Please read the Preview Sale page for more information.

Can I bring my child to preview?  Sorry, but children (including babies and infants) are permitted anytime on Friday, and Saturday only.  Make a fun night of it by getting your friends to sell with you.  Come early (sellers line up in advance), bring some coffee and have fun talking with other parents.  Others go out after the sale and relax.  Several of our sellers consider this one of their favorite nights of the year!  We have even heard of people ordering pizza while in line for the preview!  Can't  shop as well on an empty stomach!

Can I bring my spouse, Mom, etc. to preview?  Sorry, but only one preview ticket per seller.  If  you are very pregnant and need help, please speak with us at check-in to see how we can help you with shopping.

Is  there a limit on the number of items I can bring to sell?  No, we have tons of room!  If you can bring it to us, we will find room to put it in the sale.

Do I have to use the tag form sheet?  Yes, we need ChildrensSale.com standard tags only so we can sort your tags quickly.  We cut the tags off at checkout to make checkout go faster, so we need to make sure they are all the same.

Can I use staples?  No, only normal size safety pins.  No small gold pins please.  They do not hold up well.  Please do not use straight pins!  Ouch!  Items secured with gold pins, staples, or straight pins will be returned.

Where can I find hangers?  Hanger sources: Wal-Mart, K-Mart (as a customer, some stores will give you hangers for free).  I know that $15.00 for 150 children's hangers sounds like a lot, however 150 items at $3.00 - $4.00 each is $600.00!   Please hang all garments on CHILD SIZE HANGERS with the hook facing left.

What is my seller number?  If you are a previous seller, your seller number is the same number assigned from the last sale.  If you are a new seller, you will need to register for a number.  Keep in mind that each seller (info) must register before the sale.  The difference is that previous consigners already have an assigned number.  If there are any questions, please contact us at info@ChildrensSale.com or e-Mail us using this link.

How do I hang an outfit?  Together on the same hanger.  Pin the pants on the back of the top using a safety pins at top of hanger.

Can I help?  We have a list of people who have indicated they would like to help at the sale.  If interested, please review our "Volunteer Info" page and submit your interest to help us.  Helpers are given first choice and they usually all return to following sales.

Where do I drop my items off?  At the announced location of the sale.

What is my seller's share of the sale price?  You will receive 70% for the amount of your items sold.

How do I sell my books?  Some sellers chose to bundle books of the same type or reading levels in "Ziploc" bags (sealed with tape) and price them as a group.  Other sellers individually tag each book.  Don't forget the books with tapes too!

How do I sell blankets, sheets and other linens?  Most buyers want to be able to inspect the items to make sure they are in great shape.  Unless the item can clearly show its true condition through the ziploc bag, try hanging the item on a hanger.  Putting them in  "Ziploc" bags is fine, but make sure that the buyer can clearly see all the contents.

Should I assemble my crib?  Furniture sells much better if it is put together.  The seller is able to see that it is complete and what it looks like.  This is why we ask that you either bring the items assembled or assemble them at the sale location.

What type of furniture do you accept?  We accept cribs, changing tables, day beds, youth beds, kids twin beds, bunk beds, kids dressers, toy boxes, rocking chairs (adult and kids), and any other item that a baby or child would use.

Can I use my seller code from the last sale?  If you have sold in a previous sale, your ChildrensSale.com seller code is reserved for you.  The code will remain assigned to you unless you are dropped from the mailing list by your request or some other reason.  Most importantly, we provide you with an easy to remember code that is unique.

Do I have to make an appointment to drop off my items?  Yes, due to the large amount of sellers that we have, the only way we can check in everyone in such a short time is by scheduling them evenly.  We have over 150 sellers which makes work flow important.

Why are babies, infants, children, and strollers/carriers not allowed until 9:00 AM on Friday?  The first day of the sale is extremely busy and crowded.  For you and your child(ren)'s safety, we are not allowing babies, infants, children, carriers or strollers into the building until 9am on the first day of the public sale.  There is no restriction on Friday or Saturday.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you, but this is necessary for safety reasons.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Why is selling stuffed animals and shoes limited?  Historically shoes and stuffed animals have not sold well.  In an effort to change this, we are asking sellers to limit these items to 5 stuffed animals and 5 pairs of shoes during drop-off.
